One UI Watch 4.5 for Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 was the first Android smartwatch launched with the latest Wear OS 3.0 version and had One UI Watch as the interface. The Galaxy Watch 5 will soon be presented and Samsung will probably do the same One UI Watch 4.5 based on Wear OS 3.5 publish. This update will almost certainly come to the Galaxy Watch 4 and will make this smartwatch better. Evan Blass shared the first details on Twitter:

Samsung is not just introducing new watch faces, which will of course also be available, but is starting at many points. For example the keyboard, which offers significantly more options. The keyboard can be changed quickly, swipe gestures can be used and the language can be changed. Furthermore, you will soon be able to select two SIM cards. Does that mean that you activate two eSIM cards in the smartwatch can is not known. Perhaps the smartwatch only accesses the dual SIM function of the smartphone.

With the new software the Galaxy Watch 4 will also be more accessible. Samsung is introducing features to help people with color weaknesses or color blindness read the clock better. Furthermore, the balance can be regulated when playing music via headphones. The physical buttons can be assigned even more individual functions. The touchscreen can also be locked and only used again by pressing and holding a button. Handy if you’re swimming, for example, and don’t want the touchscreen to react to the water.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 has a lot on it, which we show you in the video:

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 is coming soon

Samsung will probably not release the new software for its smartwatches before the launch of the Galaxy Watch 5. There is currently no concrete information on this, but you should expect that. Only after the introduction of the Galaxy Watch 5 will the Galaxy Watch 4 be properly upgraded. The company does the same with its smartphones.
