Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 gets One UI 3.1 in the Netherlands

The Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip now come with the new One UI 3.1 software and the February security update. The update is now only available for the Galaxy Z Flip in the Netherlands and Belgium.

New features for Samsung phones

One UI 3.1 includes a number of new features and the aforementioned phones can count on the following:

  1. The eraser in the Gallery app that allows you to remove unwanted objects from a photo
  2. It improved Single Take capturing up to 14 still and moving images with one click.
  3. The improved touch autofocus and auto exposure controller, with which you can easily improve the focus and clarity of your photos.
  4. Multiple mic recording: In combination with the Galaxy Buds Pro, Buds Live or Buds +, you can record ambient sounds and your voice during recording.
  5. The new Eye Comfort Shieldfunction, which automatically adjusts the blue light according to the time of day.
  6. Private Share: You can remove the location metadata from your photos before sharing them. With the new Private Share feature, you control who gets access to the content you send and how long it remains available.

Director View and Google Discover on the home screen are unfortunately not available. The latter appears to be exclusive to the new S21 series. You can use Samsung Daily or Samsung Free as an alternative.

These Samsung phones get One UI 3.1

The Samsung Galaxy S21, Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra have launched with the new One UI 3.1 and Samsung is now rolling them out to other Galaxy phones. The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE was the first, and now the Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Z Fold 2 follow in various surrounding countries. The Galaxy Z Flip and Z Flip 5G will already receive the update in the Netherlands.

Samsung reports that the One UI 3.1 is available from today on the Samsung phones below. Availability may vary by country and carrier.
