Samsung Galaxy XCover 4s receives an update on Android 11

Another Samsung model that comes with the current operating system is the rugged Galaxy XCover 4s. The information was provided by the Sammobile portal.

This smartphone was officially introduced in the summer of 2019 and came with Android 9.0 Pie. It is a rugged model with a 5 ″ HD display, 2800 mAh battery, 3 GB RAM and Exynos 78885 processor.

Along with the new Android comes a new extension, specifically One UI in version 3.1. The availability of the update is already reported by users in Poland, it should come to Slovakia soon. The firmware name is G398FNXXUCCUF4.

The security patch level was updated to June 2021. With the new update, in addition to standard system and superstructure improvements, comes the ability to remove location data from photos before sharing them. Samsung applications, such as a browser or keyboard, have also been improved.

If you own a Galaxy XCover 4s, your smartphone should notify you automatically when an update is available. If this does not happen, just enter the settings and search for it manually. Remember to charge the battery to at least 50% before installation.

The competition is also updating

The competition is not asleep either. Several manufacturers have released updates for their models in recent days. The most expensive ones have, of course, been updated long ago. However, the Motorola 11 action from 2019, for example, was recently updated on Android 11. Although LG has stopped producing smartphones, it continues with updates. Android 11 has also arrived on the LG Velvet. HMD Global, which makes Nokia smartphones, has announced its update schedule.
