Samsung Galaxy S20 series gets security update January 2022

Samsung is rolling out a new update for the three devices from the Galaxy S20 series. At the beginning of this month, Android 12 was already distributed, now it’s time for the January update.

At the beginning of this month, the Samsung Galaxy S20, the Galaxy S20+ and the Galaxy S20 Ultra were updated with an update to Android 12. Now a next update is ready for the three smartphones of the South Korean manufacturer. Jan and Theo let DroidApp know that they could download a new update on their S20 series devices. It concerns security update January 2022, which is the latest update for Android and can now be downloaded in Belgium and the Netherlands.

On top of the patch from Google, Samsung has also added its own patches. No new features or major changes will be made with the update. These have already been implemented with the Android 12 update. The security update for the Galaxy S20 series is rolling out now and is available for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra.
