Samsung Galaxy S20 series also receives January security update

There is good news for owners of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series. Before the start of the weekend, Samsung is rolling out an update for the three models in the series. It’s the January update.

January update for Galaxy S20

Yesterday, the three models of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series were already updated with the January security update, and earlier the S21 series. Now it’s time for another series to be updated with the update. Theo reports to DroidApp that his Samsung Galaxy S20+ has received the update to January security update. This is the most recent security patch available for download for Android.

The January update is not only available for the Samsung Galaxy S20+. Other Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Ultra will also be offered the update from now on. A different cycle is maintained for the Galaxy S20 FE, so that device will receive the update soon.

The changelog only reports the security improvement, which is the security update. Other than that, no new features or major changes have been made. However, Samsung has also implemented its own Samsung patches on top of the patches from Google. In total, the update has a size of 183.82MB.
