Samsung Galaxy M31s: Android 11 update rollout has started

Samsung’s Galaxy M31s is the next phone in line that can count on Android 11. The phone will already receive the update in Russia.

Samsung’s Galaxy S20 series was the first device series to get access to Android 11, along with Samsung’s new software layer, called One UI 3.0. Many Galaxy phones have already been equipped with Android 11 and the Galaxy M31s is now the turn. Sammobile indicates that the update is now being distributed in Russia and Ukraine with version number M317FXXU2CUB1. The update also comes with the security update of the month of February. European owners of the M31s will also soon receive a notification on their phones.

The Samsung Galaxy M31s is a budget phone with a 6000 mAh battery and a 25 watt fast charger. There is a 64 MP main camera, a 12 MP wide-angle camera, a 5 MP macro camera with which you can take pictures up close and a 5 MP depth camera. The front camera is a 32 MP copy. The Galaxy M31s costs 299 euros at Bol.com.

New in One UI 3.0

There is no official changelog yet, but the new update will most likely come with the well-known new Android 11 features such as one-time permissions, automatic resetting of permissions, chat bubbles, a new conversation area and media play widget in the notification center.
