Samsung Galaxy A52 5G receives July security update

Samsung Galaxy A52 5G receives the July update in a pretty good time. Sure, it’s not a record, as Samsung sometimes updated older devices more than a week before the new month, but it must also be taken into account that it is a middle-class mobile phone.

These days, the update is already spreading across Europe – e.g. in Hungary, the Czech Republic, France, Germany or Slovenia. Maybe at the time of reading the article, this update is already available on your device. Sammobile adds that the Samsung Galaxy A52 has already received this update.

July security patch for Samsung Galaxy A52 5G

The update is marked A526BXXS1AUG1 and in addition to the aforementioned July patch, it also fixes more than 20 other vulnerabilities. Unfortunately, don’t expect any new features from this update – it’s just patches.

If you own a Samsung Galaxy A52 5G, you can find the update in Settings, specifically in the category called Software update. Just confirm the download there and you should have it installed in a few minutes.

How the competition updates

OnePlus recently upgraded its lower-middle-class model to the Nord N10 5G on Android 11. Better late than never.

Xiaomi changes the update schedule – after the new one, all mobile phones (including the flagship Mi 11) will receive security patches every three months. The only phones that will continue to receive monthly updates are the Android One devices – Mi A3, Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite. An incomprehensible move, but Xiaomi is contractually obligated to provide Google with security updates to these devices on a monthly basis, for at least three years.

Realme 6 and 6i – popular and great middle class models from 2020, receive a beta version of the Realme UI 2.0 extension with Android 11.
