Samsung Galaxy A03 Core with Chinese chipset
The novelty from the Samsung stable is just another proof of the growing position of Chinese Unisoc chipsets – formerly known as Spreadtrum. Although they do not have the ambition to endanger Qualcomm or MediaTek at least in the middle class, this does not change the fact that they are we are starting to meet more and more in smartphones. Smartphones from brands such as Nokia, Motorola, Realme, Oppo and TCL also rely on them. This list is thus being expanded by the giant Samsung. This is definitely a success for Unisoc itself, which until recently supplied its products almost exclusively to televisions, cheap TV boxes and Chinese tablets.
But back to the Samsung Galaxy A03 Core smartphone. It specifically uses a chipset Unisoc SC9863A, whose performance is comparable to the MediaTek P22 or slightly lower than the Snapdragon 439. The chipset uses the already obsolete, 28nm production process. The used eight-core processor has Cortex-A55 cores clocked at a maximum of 1.6 GHz and the graphics performance is taken care of by the PowerVR GE8322 chip.
The chipset is then paired with 2 GB RAM and 32GB of storage expandable with microSD cards. Used IPS displej has a diagonal of 6.5 ″ and HD + resolution. There is then a single, 8MPx camera on the back of the phone. Used battery with capacity 5 000 mAh then, due to the hardware, it promises lasting endurance on a single charge. This is done with a maximum power of 10W and do not count on any fast charging. Details on price and availability are not yet known.
