Samsung adds 33 own patches to April security update
Samsung has also added patches on top of the April security update from Google. This is clear from the information released by Samsung.
Additional patches from Samsung
Google released the April security update for Android this week. Several dozen vulnerabilities in the Android operating system are addressed. Think of adjustments in various components and other parts of the software. Every month, Google releases such a security patch for the platform.
Samsung has already distributed the update for the Galaxy S22 series, and more devices will follow in the coming weeks. On top of the 44 patches from Google, Samsung will come up with 33 of its own patches. There are quite a few, and relates to things from Samsung itself.
For example, we see fixes for a vulnerability in the Samsung Contacts app. Furthermore, vulnerabilities have been addressed in Knox, DeX and the One UI launcher that defaults to the Android interface. When your device is offered the April update, the patches from Samsung itself are also included.
