Samsung today launched the 870 EVO SSD, the successor to the popular 860 EVO. The 860 EVO is known as one of the best SSDs, so the 870 EVO has hefty shoes to fill. However, we have been running into the limitations of SATA for years and M.2 NVMe SSDs are no longer significantly more expensive. So is there anything to improve on sata drives? And is there still life in this segment?
