Same products, different brand. Is Huawei trying to circumvent the bans?
Produce and sell identical multi-brand products, this is not a rare thing in the world of electronics either. Let us remember, for example, Xiaomi, who does this several times a year under the Redmi and POCO brands. Brands are perceived differently in different regions, so it makes sense, even though consumers may be significantly confused. But what if the production of products under another brand is a reason to circumvent various restrictions and prohibitions? And Huawei doesn’t plan to happen now in the fight against the negative effects of trade sanctions from the USA?
The contribution on the Weibo social network caused the increase, in which pictures from the TD Tech product catalog appeared. Doesn’t that tell you anything? We are not even surprised, even when it comes to company established in 2005. It is a subsidiary of Huawei and has so far focused on network solutions, energy, terminals and the construction of control rooms. But now, according to the leak, for example, the TD Tech N8 Pro phone is being prepared, which is nothing but renamed Huawei Nova 8 Pro. A renamed variation on the Huawei Mate40E and is also expected immediately the list certainly does not end there. You can see it below. Spicy is that TD Tech was a Chinese company with Nokia.
What will TD Tech bear?
- phones
- Mate series
- P series
- Nova series
- řady Enjoy
- nositelná elektronika
- hodinky Watch GT
- Band bracelets
- tablets
- TV / monitory
For example, if the Chinese giant intends to dilute its portfolio in its home country, it will not be strange about similar activities. Quite logically, however, there has also been a debate about whether the trade-politically oppressed company does not look for back doors to circumvent the restrictions imposed. Even with the officially independent HONOR brand, there are still concerns that the split with Huawei was made in the naked eye. It will definitely be interesting to see what position (if at all) TD Tech will profile itself in smart consumer electronics.
What do you guess that Huawei and TD Tech intend to do?
