Resident Evil celebrates sales, but leaves its producer -apkrig

Peter Fabiano, who has been a producer on the Resident Evil series in recent years, announced departure from Capcom. He thanked him for the past 13 years and revealed that he was taking up a new position in the Bungie studio. If you like Capcom’s survival horror movies, but also Devil May Cry, you probably haven’t missed the important role Fabiano held. He was the one who most often appeared in official videos and most often spoke for the team in interviews with the media.

Video Games Chronicle recalls that, unlike some Western studios in Japan, the position of producer usually involves creative decisions. This only underscores how important Fabiano played and how he influenced the success of the last episodes.

In this context, it is worth recalling that, according to Capcom, Resident Evil Village sent 4 million copies to stores in the first 20 days. This means that it sells faster than the previous three parts. Resident Evil 7 and the remake of doubles and threes took the same number longer. So the publisher has really set out on a recent determination to make the novelty the best-selling parts in the entire series.

Resident Evil 7 reached 3.5 million copies in nine weeks. RE2 and RE3 conquered 4 million a month and 2.3 million in three months, respectively. More successful than Village was Resident Evil 6 with 4.5 million copies in the first day. For me, paradoxically one of the worst parts in the whole series. Which just shows how diverse the fans’ tastes are. The novelty also made a strong debut in statistics on Steam. In contrast, in domestic Japan, it did not do very well in selling physical versions, but this is undoubtedly due to the growing share of digital ones.

It will be very interesting to see how, after this triumphant success, the famous horror brand will prosper after the departure of its key manager. But only time will tell. Until then, you could be pleased with at least a small “easter egg”. You can also know Fabian’s face directly from the game. It was given to Peter Walken from Resident Evil 7.
