Remaster Half-Life 2 is created with the approval of Valve -apkrig
At the end of June, the founder of the SteamDB portal, Pavel Djundik, published an entry from the Steam database, which referred to the remastered collection of the legendary game Half-Life 2. At first glance, it may seem that the people of Valve returned to the game and Half-Life: Alyx, returns to the famous series in quick succession. However, as fans found out a month ago, the development of the remaster is due to the author of the modifications Filip Victor, who also presented his work Half-Life 2: Update in 2015, which fulfilled the role of just such a remaster. Originally, the SteamDB website also stated that the remastered collection was created without any involvement of Valve, according to insider Tyler McVicker, who is involved in events at Gabe Newell, but this is not true and Valve gave the project its blessing.
“I can confirm the legitimacy of this project and the fact that the team of authors Half-Life 2: Update is working on it. It is a remaster of Half-Life 2 and its episodes, it is created with the consent of Valve, “McVicker wrote on his Twitter. It also adds information that the modification could be available soon, but currently there is no public profile on Steam for it. The information that SteamDB handles is therefore only pulled out from the database and fans have to wait for further confirmation.
However, due to the connection with the mentioned modification of the Update, it can be expected that the Remastered Collection will be in the same spirit and will offer players equally carefully improved additional episodes that were not part of the modification. Players are most likely to look forward to not only improved graphics, but also a new light system, bug fixes, HDR support, particle effects, improved fog, and commentary from famous Youtubers from the Half-Life scene. The modification should, of course, be available free of charge to all owners of the game and should not change anything in the gameplay or story of the famous shooter.
