Release of the flagship in spring 2021 ⊂ · ⊃ CURVED.de

When will we finally see the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro? On December 28, 2020, Xiaomi unveiled the Mi 11 for the Chinese market. Unfortunately, the Pro model was not present at the event, which lasted over two hours. Now there is a rumor about when we can count on the flagship.

According to GizmoChina, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro should be available after the Chinese New Year celebrations. The information comes from the Leaker Digital Chat Station, which is usually well informed about Xiaomi’s plans. In 2021, the Chinese New Year will take place on February 12th. Accordingly, we can expect the release to take place in mid-February – at least in China.

Better camera, bigger display?

Not much is known about the features of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro. According to rumors, the top smartphone should have a special camera that differs significantly from the camera in the base model. If the leaks correspond to reality, we can expect an unusual arrangement of the lenses in the camera module.

It is questionable to what extent the display of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro differs from that of the standard model. Before the presentation at the end of December 2020 it was said that the screen of the Pro version should dissolve in QHD +. In addition, the display should be larger than the standard version – but there the screen is already a proud 6.81 inches diagonally. It is also questionable whether Xiaomi also delivers the Pro model without a power supply.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro with a special design?

Users in China have been able to pre-order the standard model of the Xiaomi Mi 11 since it was presented. As expected, the top smartphone uses the Snapdragon 888 from Qualcomm as a drive. The equipment includes a triple camera, the main lens of which has a resolution of 108 MP. A special feature is the quick charge mode, in which you can recharge the battery with 50 watts of power in less than an hour.

In addition to the Xiaomi Mi 11, the company also presented a Special Edition on December 28, 2020. The specs are identical to the standard model, the difference is primarily in the back: There are special light reflections for a shimmering effect. It remains to be seen whether the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro will also appear as a Special Edition – or like the basic model with a leather back. We will probably have to wait until mid-February 2021.
