Xiaomi is going to charge its affordable Redmi 11 phones with a powerful 120-watt fast charger. Presumably, the technology will only work in the Pro version, and it’s not yet clear whether those phones will also get the charger in the box.
Xiaomi Redmi 11 Pro
Xiaomi’s Redmi devices are traditionally aimed at a mid-range target group and are good value for money. This year, the Redmi Note 10 Pro was the top model of Xiaomi’s sub-brand. It came with a large screen, a solid battery and a 108 MP camera. This time, plans have already been leaked about a successor that will get a fast wireless charger.
The information comes from Digital Chat Station, a well-known rumor spreader from China. According to him, the next generation of Redmi Note devices will work with a 120 MP fast charger. it would be the most powerful model in the range, and although he does not mention a name, we suspect that that phone will be called the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro.
Xiaomi focuses on fast charging
Xiaomi released the Mi 10 Ultra in China last year, which has a 120-watt fast charger, and since then the brand seems to focus more and more on fast charging technology. That proved ok in May when it proposed a 200W charger that charges your phone in 8 minutes. Although there turned out to be a snag, or maybe even a big cobra, it’s how you look at it.
For now, details about the fast charger and specifications of the Redmi Note 11 Pro are still lacking. For example, it is not known whether Xiaomi will also provide the powerful charger in the box. In the past, we sometimes saw that Xiaomi supplies a less powerful charger, and that the most powerful fast charger is optionally available for purchase. Another possibility, and a trend we see more often lately, is that the phone comes without a charger and that it can be purchased separately. The Redmi Note 10 range was presented in March of 2021 and the Pro version was on sale from 279 euros.
