Rating Apple applications on the App Store becomes possible
Apple offers users the ability to rate their own apps at the App Store level. It was already possible to do this with third-party apps, and has been for years now.
Rate Apple’s applications, it’s possible
There are several dozen Apple applications in the App Store and it is possible to rate each of them since iOS 15. The iWork suite, for example, is moderately rated. Keynote, Numbers and Pages get 3.7 / 5, 3.2 / 5 and 3.5 / 5 respectively. It’s similar for the Apple Store app with a rating of 3.6 / 5. Others are more or less at the same level, like Podcasts (3.4 / 5), Plans (3.4 / 5), Notes (3/5), Music (3.3 / 5), Mail (3, 5/5) or even Calendar (3.3 / 5).
It is also interesting to see that the pre-installed applications are ultimately not that well rated. However, it will be necessary to see the evolution over the weeks, the number of notes not being numerous for the moment. But all of this could eventually push Apple to completely review some of its applications, especially since users can post reviews and therefore say what they don’t like.
At the same time, some applications are well received. iMovie gets for example 4/5. Shortcuts does a bit better with 4.1 / 5, as does Apple TV with 4.2 / 5. FaceTime is in the same vein with 4/5. And the one that borders on perfection according to users is the Stocks application with a rating of 4.8 / 5.
