Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart: PS4 & PC version

Will Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart appear on PS4?

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is the first, new part of the series after “Into the Nexus” on PlayStation 3. That is why many players wonder on which consoles the adventure appears. At the moment it is not uncommon for games to be released on two console generations, see for example Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War or Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which incidentally also comes from the same developer Insomniac Games.

To quickly answer the question: Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart belongs to the exclusive games on the PlayStation 5, as well as Returnal or Demon’s Souls, and does not appear on the PlayStation 4.

PS4 owners have to be patient until they can buy a PS5. This fact also has advantages, because Insomniac Games was able to concentrate fully on the new generation of consoles during development and therefore did not have to accept any compromises in terms of gaming for the older generation of consoles.

Will Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart be released on PC?

Some exclusive PlayStation games will not appear on other consoles, but will appear on PC at a later date, including Days Gone, Horizon Zero Dawn or Death Stranding.

In one of the last trailers from Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, the wording at the end of the video clip has changed. At first it was called “PS5 exclusive”, but now it says “PS5 console exclusive” in the new lettering.

This means that it can be assumed that the game will still only appear on the PlayStation5, but it also leaves a small loophole open, because it could perhaps also appear on the PC in the future, similar to the games mentioned above.

Note: The chance of a future PC release is currently not officially confirmed by Sony, this is just a guess.
