PS5 with a mobile phone contract: last consoles apparently sold out
The PS5 is currently sold out almost everywhere. The emphasis is on “almost”, because surprisingly, some cell phone operators have secured a few consoles and offer them in conjunction with a cell phone contract. GIGA has the details.

The Mobilcom offer is also currently sold out – that’s probably it for the time being with the PS5 in Germany. That means: waiting for the next wave of sales. Since these are usually announced at very short notice, it is worth checking the online shops regularly. We have summarized the most important dealers in this overview.

The o2 campaign has now expired, but the provider Mobilcom has a similar offer: The PS5 (Digital Edition) including two annual subscriptions for Sony’s online service PlayStation Plus, with which you can play online multiplayer and free monthly games. The deal is linked to the Green LTE 10 GB mobile phone tariff, which costs you 42 euros a month for the Internet and telephony flat rate in the Telekom network (24 months). There is also a connection fee of 40 euros and a one-off payment of 100 euros. We assume that this offer will not be available for long either – so if you still want to get hold of a PS5, you should grab it quickly.

The PlayStation 5 has actually been on the market since November 19th. You cannot buy the new console from Sony at the moment, because it is completely out of stock everywhere (check the current availability here).
Now an offer has emerged with which you can secure the NextGen console in a timely manner. At o2 you get the PS5 (Digital Edition) with a Free-M mobile phone contract for 39.99 euros per month plus 1 euro additional payment. The tariff includes an all-network and SMS flat rate as well as 20 GB LTE with up to 225 Mbit / s. You can use this with your smartphone or another mobile device.
Danger: Even o2 only has a limited number of consoles in stock. If you want to take the deal with you, hurry up.

PS5 with O2 Free-M contract: For whom is the offer worthwhile?
The offer is only worthwhile if you can do something with the tariff, because minus the costs for the PS5 (digital edition: 399.99 euros RRP) there are still around 560 euros left. This corresponds to around 23 euros a month for the o2 tariff with 20 GB LTE, all-network and SMS flat rates. A delivery time of 3 weeks is currently specified for the PS5. It is uncertain when the console without a tariff will be available again from Amazon, MediaMarkt and Co.
However, do not forget to cancel in good time. If you don’t, the contract will automatically be extended for another year. The basic fee remains the same, although you have already “paid off” the PS5.
