Apple begins mass production of iPhone 15 screens
Apple is reportedly starting soon with the mass production of the screens for the new iPhone 15. The new line of iPhones is usually presented by Apple in September. This is no different there, the iPhone 15 will probably be presented at the beginning of September and will then be available for sale a week later.

The approaching release of the iPhone 15 series means that production of the new iPhones is slowly starting. Mass production will start next month, when the new screens of the iPhone 15 will be manufactured on a large scale. It is already known that these screens will look slightly different than we have seen with the iPhone 14. This is what we know so far.

The new screens of the iPhone 15 will have thinner edges than is currently the case with the iPhone 14, for example. For example, previous images already showed that the screen edges of the iPhone 15 Pro Max are visibly thinner than those of the iPhone 14 Pro Max. For comparison: the iPhone 14 Pro Max has screen edges of 2.17 millimeters. With the iPhone 15 Pro Max, this is only 1.55 millimeters.
The size of the screens will remain the same, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro will have a 6.1-inch screen. With the iPhone 15 Plus and the iPhone 15 Pro Max, this is 6.7 inches. Due to the thinner screen edges, the housing of the iPhone is a bit smaller. As a result, the new iPhones will have a slightly more compact housing.
In addition, the regular iPhone takes over a number of functions from the iPhone 14 Pro, of which the Dynamic Island is the most striking feature. The new feature of the iPhone 14 Pro is coming to all iPhone 15 models. As a result, Apple is saying goodbye to the notch with the iPhone 15 series. The iPhone 15 will then no longer have a notch in the screen.
