Disney Plus and price increase in February 2021
The information about the European price increase was announced on Investor Day 2020. Currently, a month of Disney Plus costs 6.99 euros, while an annual subscription costs 69.99 euros.
Disney thinks the higher price is justified, because a new part is also being added to the streaming service. Star contains new content, such as documentaries, films and various series.
Disney has not yet released many details about this new part. Disney Plus does want to focus more on adults with Star. During the presentation, the company announced that it would come up with content from Disney Television Studios. ABC, Searchlight and 20th Century Studio were also mentioned. These additions will double the current library, says Disney.
