The value of Pokémon cards has increased enormously in recent years. On Marktplaats you can find a set that is for sale for 75,000 euros.
When you used to trade Pokémon cards in the schoolyard, you had no idea what their astronomical value is now. In an undamaged and virtually unused condition of course. Cards that you used to have in your hands can now be worth tens of thousands of euros.

Moreover, Marktplaats is a fairly small market for this kind of niche items. Enthusiasts with deep pockets should only just look here, but it doesn’t really appeal to the international market. Internationally, however, the competition is fierce, unless you have really rare cards. But then we are already talking about tons in euros.
