Pixel 7a featured in hands-on video: 90Hz screen confirmation

We’ve already seen a few things about the Google Pixel 7a. Now there is big news about the smartphone, because we now find out the necessary information thanks to a hands-on video in which Google’s Pixel 7a is central.

The new Google Pixel 7a will be the cheaper variant of the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro. We recently discussed the latter in detail in the Pixel 7 Pro review. The smartphone manufacturer will therefore soon release the Pixel 7a, and we will now learn a lot about that smartphone. It has been rumored for some time that the smartphone would have a screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz, which has now been confirmed in the hands-on video that has now been released.

We don’t really see very exciting things. The fingerprint scanner of the Pixel 7a is incorporated in the screen, just like the two other devices. At least in this video, it seems to respond very quickly. In addition, the well-known camera bar on the back of the phone can be seen. In this bar we see two lenses, with the LED flash slightly further away. The interface is as we are used to from the Pixel, clean Android. This means no unnecessary bloatware and the like.

The Pixel 7a will succeed the current Pixel 6a. Together with the Pixel 7 and the Pro, these devices are now also officially available in the Netherlands, and we actually expect Google to release the Pixel 7a in our country. At the moment there is no information about this. Google is expected to officially announce the new smartphone, which should also be a bit more compact, in May of this year.
