PC market is changing drastically – because of Corona

Microsoft is in the grave even though half the world needs more PCs and software than ever before. The current figures are likely to be difficult to explain because the computer pioneer can no longer convince customers.

The past financial year was a bad one for many around the world, from large corporations to self-employed. The tech industry was practically excluded from the effects of the corona. All the more amazing that Microsoft is in a bad position now: Last year the users ran away from the in-house operating system.

In 2020 there is number of Windows users decreased by around 5 percent. On the other hand, Google’s young competitor, ChromeOS, increased significantly by 4.4 percent, while hardware with macOS achieved a minimal increase of less than 1 percent.
