CarPlay: pay for your fuel without getting up

More and more people are using CarPlay, Apple’s operating system for built-in car screens. Although a completely new version of CarPlay will roll out in 2023, with the release of iOS 16, new features are also coming to the current version of the system. Gas stations will soon be able to release CarPlay apps that easily guide drivers to a gas station. Is the tank full? Then users pay directly for the fuel from their car. Motorists will no longer have to get out of their car for this in the future. They can also pay for toll roads with the feature.

CarPlay will get a major visual update next year. Current cars come with screens that are all different sizes and aspect ratios. The new version of CarPlay focuses entirely on this. According to Apple, the software looks “as if it was made specifically for it” on every screen.

The manufacturer has not yet announced much about the new CarPlay – but according to Apple we will hear more soon. The first cars with the operating system will appear in 2023, so we have to be patient.
