Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous

The sequel to the great classic RPG Pathfinder: Kingmaker last February raised the required amount on Kickstarter in a single day, and a total of over two million dollars was raised during the campaign. The creators of the Owlcat Games have certainly not been idle since then, and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous finally knows its release date. It will be released on PC via Steam and GOG on September 2.

If you are a crowdfunding contributor, you can embark on a second closed beta at the same time. You’ll find the first four chapters on Steam, and some new game mechanics have been added to the content of the first beta test, such as Crusade mode, where you’ll become an army commander in turn-based battles against demonic armies.

There will also be new side quests, cavalry dinosaurs and pets, new archetypes and abilities for certain character classes, the weather system and the enchanted Finnean talking weapon, which was one of the additional targets in the kickstarter campaign. The difficulty of the demo should be more fine-tuned compared to the previous version, and you can also notice changes in the user interface and graphics, including improved character models of some of the partners.

The September release date only applies to the PC version, but the creators also count on consoles in the future, where Kingmaker appeared with a delay of about two years. Wrath of the Righteous takes place in the same world based on a table RPG, but it is not a direct continuation of the first part.
