Optimiam – OptiVente (reducing food waste)

– Hypermarkets and supermarkets, hard-discounts, grocery stores and local shops waste around 2.3 million tonnes of products every year.
– Two thirds of people in a precarious situation spend less than 3.50 euros per day on food.
– Between 1.2 and 6 million tonnes of food are wasted each year by consumers.

OptiMiam’s mission is to help local businesses sell their unsold surplus food on time. A triple positive effect therefore, for the finances of traders, for the consumer market, and for our beautiful planet.

Optimiam is a geolocated application. Its aim is to connect, in real time, local businesses to the consumers around them. This in order to sell, in time, their stocks of fresh products in the form of exclusive flash offers.

Functioning :

1°) Every day, the merchant updates his online inventory by indicating his surpluses in promotions. The consumer will thus be able to benefit from fresh products at reduced prices while reducing food waste.
2°) Receive an alert in real time when promotions are available around you, and compose your basket.
3°) In the store concerned, you scan the QR Code at the checkout to validate your basket.
4°) Then present the generated ticket to the seller, and pay for your order.
5°) Everyone applauds.
6°) Share your good anti-waste plans with your friends.
7°) Suggest your favorite merchants, directly from the application.
