OPPO adds the ability to virtually expand RAM by up to 7 GB

Last month, OPPO introduced a new RAM + function to expand the operating memory of its smartphones. According to the PhoneArena portal, it will soon reach users of selected models in Africa and the Middle East.

As the name implies, this technology will allow you to increase the RAM by borrowing space from storage. As a result, the device will be faster, whether for normal activities or more demanding tasks, even without the need to have better hardware. Users will have three levels of settings and together they will be able to get up to 7 GB of RAM.

So far, only models from the Reno5 series and OPPO A94 and OPPO A74 smartphones will receive the RAM + function. It will reach users along with the June update.

Other manufacturers also offer the ability to expand RAM

According to recent leaks, Xiaomi also wants to add RAM to its extension. However, it would only allow you to add 1 GB of RAM. On the contrary, the Vivo X60 Pro Plus smartphone already has this function and the device can allocate up to 3 GB of storage space for virtual RAM. This will increase its total RAM up to 15 GB.
