OnePlus will launch OnePlus Nord CE on June 10

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has announced through a blog post that the new OnePlus Nord CE 5G is coming. The company makes no further statements about specifications, prices and availability.

The existence of the OnePlus Nord CE has thus been confirmed and for now you will have to wait for another two weeks before we know exactly everything about the latest OnePlus phone.

The “CE” in the OnePlus Nord CE 5G stands for “Core Edition”. As the name suggests, this is a product that is truly focused on delivering a quality essential experience. OnePlus has reduced the original Nord to its core elements and added a few extra features.

What OnePlus exactly means by core elements is not clear. However, it can be deduced from this quote that the OnePlus Nord CE 5G will not be a successor to the OnePlus Nord, and rather seems to be the successor to the OnePlus Nord N10 5G. The OnePlus Nord got a suggested retail price from 399 euros in 2020 and the Nord N10 5G cost 349 euros at its launch. There are also rumors that the Nord CE 5G will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. Fortunately, we do not have to wait until June 10 for more details, because OnePlus will already reveal all kinds of ‘surprising functions’ in the intervening period.
