OnePlus’ new wallpaper app visualizes smartphone usage

OnePlus has a department that focuses on fun projects. From the hand of this department there is now the app WellPaper. These (live) wallpapers should make users aware of their smartphone use, in a cool way.

Earlier we already saw the Clipt app from the department. It allows you to exchange files, photos and text between multiple devices. The next app from the developers is called WellPaper. These live wallpapers visualize your smartphone usage in different ways. The functionality is reminiscent of that of Digital Wellbeing, the tool that gives you insight into how you use your smartphone.

The wallpapers just show this kind of information as your background. A distinction is made between six different categories; social, lifestyle and communication, entertainment, gaming, info and business and tools. Each category has a different color. The more you use apps from a certain category, the more that color will prevail. You can choose from three different apps.

WellPaper can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store. The app also works on Android devices that are not from OnePlus.
