OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro get OxygenOS 11.2.9.9 with new XPan mode
OnePlus has prepared a new update for the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. Both devices get a new security update, but also new camera modes. These are the new features of OxygenOS 11.2.9.9.
OxygenOS 11.2.9.9 for 9 (Pro)
A new update is ready for the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro. The two smartphones will receive an update to OxygenOS 11.2.9.9. This 142MB software update first brings wireless charging improvements, bug fixes and stability, and September 2021 security update.
XPan Mode
There is also the new XPan Mode. This new mode was developed in collaboration with Hasselblad and is intended to mimic Hasselblad’s XPan camera. You can activate this feature in the camera app by swiping up the modes window. OnePlus says the following about this;
This camera combined the advantages of the 35 millimeter format with the ability to smoothly switch to full panorama format without having to switch the film. Photos taken with XPan Mode have a unique field of view and present users with new perspectives and modes of storytelling. “Using XPan Mode on the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro allows our users to see the world around them through a unique lens. We are very excited to see how this format will be used by users and photographers around the world.”
OnePlus has worked with Hasselblad on two film simulation profiles for XPan Mode: a color mode and a unique black and white mode.
