OnePlus 8 Pro and Oppo Find X2 Pro open Chrome with a yellow haze: the solution

Several users of the Oppo Find X2 Pro and the OnePlus 8 Pro are dealing with an annoying bug in Chrome. The page in the Chrome browser can regularly be seen in a clear yellow haze. There is a way to solve it without many difficult actions.

OnePlus and Oppo with yellow screen

Are you in possession of a OnePlus 8 Pro or an Oppo Find X2 Pro, then it may just be that you have ever encountered this problem. While browsing the Chrome app, a yellow haze suddenly appears on the screen. It appears as if the eye comfort mode is activated, but this is not the case. Without adjusting display settings, this yellow glow is still clearly visible.

At the editorial office we already noticed it with the OnePlus 8 Pro, but a Swiss website now also writes that the Oppo Find X2 Pro has to contend with this problem. The problem only occurs with Chrome, so it shouldn’t happen with other browsers.

Solution

The colleagues from Switzerland also share a solution that can solve the problem;

  1. Open your Chrome browser
  2. Type “chrome: // flags” (without quotes)
  3. Search for dynamic color gamut
  4. Select “Disabled” and click on “Relaunch” at the bottom, which will restart the app.

As far as is known, the problem only occurs with these two devices. If you have these problems on another device, please let us know by leaving a comment below this message.
