OnePlus 7 (Pro), 7T (Pro) and Nord CE finally get Android 12: first beta appeared

OnePlus will make Android 12 available for the OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7T, 7T Pro and the Nord CE. This is clear from the latest beta that has now been released for the smartphones. The OnePlus 7 series was released by the brand more than three years ago.

OnePlus 7 series gets Android 12

There is good news to report for the four smartphones from the OnePlus 7(T) series. All four devices that were released in 2019 will receive the update to Android 12. The manufacturer has now started distributing the test version of the update, so there is no definitive update at the moment. In time, the Android 12 update should be available for the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T and the OnePlus 7T Pro. Those running the OxygenOS beta software now will get the test update to Android 12 rolled out from now on.

OnePlus North CE

The OnePlus Nord CE will also be offered the update as a beta from now on. OnePlus will use the feedback to improve the final version. It is not known when the stable update to Android 12 will be available for the five devices.

There are a number of known issues with the beta; OnePlus has listed it below;

1. Unable to set photos taken by camera as wallpaper.
2. Unable to wake screen by tapping screen.
3. May have lagging and silent issues after reboot.
4. Unexpected clock widget will be shown on the phone.
5. Clock on AOD cannot be disabled.
6. After downgrading to OxygenOS 11 version, reset data may fail.
7. After upgrading to OxygenOS 12, the clock might become smaller when screen resolution has changed.

Work Life Balance
- Work Life Balance feature is now available to all users, allowing you to effortlessly switch between Work and Life mode via quick settings
- WLB 2.0 now supports automatic Work/Life mode switching, based on specific locations, Wi-Fi network, and time, also bringing customized App notification profiles according to the personalization
Gallery
- Gallery now allows you to switch between different layouts with a two-finger pinch gesture, intelligently recognizing the best-quality pictures, and cropping the thumbnail based on the content, making the gallery layout more pleasing
Canvas AOD
- Canvas AOD brings you new diverse styles of lines and colors, for a more personalized lock screen experience with inspiring visuals
- Newly added multiple brushes and strokes and support for color adjustment
- Optimized software algorithm and improved face recognition to better identify the features and skin color of different figures
