Older smartwatches will not work with the latest Samsung smartphones
Samsung devices that will be released from 2021 will not be able to handle older smartwatches from the Korean manufacturer. It concerns various Gear and Galaxy smartwatches from Samsung itself. Samsung itself has released the information about this.
No old smartwatch with new Galaxy
The new Samsung smartphones that will be released from next year do not support the older smartwatches. These are wearables released by Samsung in the previous years. Smartphones that will be released from 2021 will therefore no longer support it. This concerns, for example, the newly expected Galaxy S21, but also various other devices such as the Galaxy A32 and the Galaxy A52.
The smartwatches that will no longer be compatible with the phones that will appear next year are at least the following five models;
- Galaxy Gear / Gear 1
- Gear 2
- Gear 2 Neo
- Gear S
- Gear Fit
Those who use a device from before 2021 can continue to use the smartwatch as usual.
