Nvidia is said to return to sale the RTX 2060 -apkrig card

The French magazine Overclocking brought a report yesterday morning, in which it claims, referring to its sources close to hardware manufacturers, that Nvidia is going to re-launch the GeForce RTX 2060 and RTX 2060 Super graphics cards. It is an approximately two-year-old graphics card, relying on the architecture of the last generation chip – Turing, but given the current unavailability of this hardware on the market, this is not a very surprising step. As Overcklocking points out, the return of the RTX 2060 to the market should be reflected both in the final retail sales and in the OEM segment, ie as a part of already created computer sets from third party manufacturers.

According to the French portal, Nvidia has already started distributing chips to its partners, so it is likely that the cards could appear on the market relatively soon. According to DSOG, the reason for this step may not only be the lack of cards on the market, but also the surplus of TU104 and TU106 chips, which could theoretically foreshadow the return of other series beyond the mentioned RTX 2060 and RTX 2060S. On the other hand, it is said that Nvidia does not explicitly want to get rid of stocks as quickly as possible – that is, with an attractive price tag, and so an unpleasant paradox may occur in the foreseeable future. Despite the fact that the price of RTX 2060 gradually dropped to the level of $ 299, no discount should come at all, quite the opposite.

The price tags for the RTX 2060 and RTX 3060 can be uncomfortably close, and even the sudden availability of at least some RTX cards may not persuade customers to buy.

Overclocking speculates that the price should be set at 300 euros for the RTX 2060 and a hundred euros more for the more powerful RTX 2060S, but we remind you that the recently introduced RTX 3060 card received a recommended retail price of 319-335 euros, which creates a significant but only a speculative and theoretical disparity. On the one hand, these cards will only be available in very limited quantities, and on the other hand, it is unlikely that third party manufacturers will meet this price. Nevertheless, the price tag can be uncomfortably close and not even suddenly available at least some RTX cards do not have to persuade customers to buy. After all, the “miners” of the Bitcoins probably suffer from the same shortcoming as players, and if we omit this group, we have not the slightest reason to think that the dealers and the so-called scalpers would ignore the supposed wave of newer graphics cards.

However, it is still speculation and it is necessary to wait for the real steps of Nvidia, or other statements.
