Nokia G50 and 9 PureView get more recent security update; Nokia 5.3 with January patch

Three Nokia smartphones are updated with a new security update. A newer security patch is being distributed for the Nokia G50 and Nokia 9 PureView; an earlier update is being rolled out for the Nokia 5.3.

Nokia G50 and 9 PureView updated

The Nokia G50 and the Nokia 9 PureView are both updated with a new update. Looking at the changelog, we only see for the PureView that this is a new security patch, the one from March. Jan lets us know that the update for the Nokia G50 is a lot bigger. This smartphone is updated with the second latest update; February 2022 security update, but the changelog is longer. We see a new build of Android 12. The update to Android 12 was already rolled out in January for the Nokia G50.

Along with this new build, Nokia promises a number of improvements. The smartphone gets improved system stability, and there are improvements in the user interface. The update has a size of 2.09GB and will be rolled out from now on.

Nokia 5.3

An update is finally ready for the Nokia 5.3. It took a while for the smartphone to be updated, but now it is. It is a more recent update, although it is still quite a bit behind. January 2022 security update will be rolled out for this phone from now on. If you can download the update, you will receive a notification on your device.
