Nintendo toppers at E3 2021

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2

Of course, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is at the very top. The sequel to the popular first Breath of the Wild is of course the most important news. The game will largely have the same structure as the first part, but with a lot of new abilities, items and a brand new world in the clouds.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 will be released for Nintendo Switch sometime in 2022.

Mario Party Superstars

For the first time in ages, Nintendo is back with a ‘new’ Mario Party game, they announced during E3 2021. In fact, in the fall you can get started with Mario Party Superstars. It is a mix of old and new minigames from the Mario Part series and introduces online multiplayer for the first time.

Mario Party Superstars will be released for Nintendo Switch on October 29 this year.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 Remastered

The Tony Hawk Pro Skater franchise is coming to Nintendo Switch! That’s great news for fans of the legendary skate games. As icing on the cake, this is not a simple port, but a remaster with improved graphics and some new mechanics.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 Remastered are coming to Nintendo Switch as a bundle on June 25.

Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda

Nintendo will not come with a brand new Switch, but technically a new console will come out. The Game & Watch Zelda Edition is a tiny handheld console featuring The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, and the original Game Boy version of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.

The console will be released on November 12. No price has yet been announced.

Metroid Dread

Finally, Nintendo will also announce a new Metroid game during E3 2021. It is the first 2D Metroid game in nearly 20 years and is heavily inspired by the classic Metroid formula. Platform, action and horror come together in this ‘2.5D’ Metroid game.

Metroid Dread is coming to Nintendo Switch on October 8.
