“Next Gen” -GTA will be released this year

GTA fans watch out! In a call with the investors, the game maker Rockstar officially commented on the “Next Gen” GTA – and there is good news! The game is slated for release later this year for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. Will the new port be a real box office hit again?

GTA 5: next-gen version comes in the second half of the year

After more than 7 years, GTA 5 is a real long-runner for rock stars. The open world game is still very popular on Steam. And the improved console version for the PS4 was also able to secure third place among the bestsellers in the PS Store last year.

Now there is also initial information about the release date of the next-gen version for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S, the Rockstar in one official conference call announced with its investors. Accordingly, GTA 5 should appear for the next-gen consoles in the second half of 2021. An exact release date was not given, however.

A date is close, however, as it marks the eighth birthday of the game: September 17, 2021. Whether the game will actually appear on this day is still in the stars.

Next-gen version for GTA 5: Rockstar plans to reveal more details soon

During the conference, Rockstar also announced that it will be in the near future wants to reveal more details on the revamped version of the aged game.
