new Xiaomi 12 gets 50MP triple camera with 5X periscope

Xiaomi has already released a lot of different devices in the past. The smartphone that we can expect from the manufacturer soon is the Xiaomi 12. The brand will no longer use the addition ‘Mi’. Some information has now surfaced about the Xiaomi 12.

Xiaomi has stopped using the model name ‘Mi’. We will also see that with the Xiaomi 12. The company will provide this device with an advanced camera, but the company is no longer expected to have a 108 megapixel camera; something we did see in previous devices. Instead, the Xiaomi 12 would be equipped with a 50 megapixel triple camera.

The latter means there’s a 50MP main camera along with a 50MP wide-angle lens and 50MP telephoto lens. Reportedly, the latter lens will be a periscope lens that delivers 5x zoom. Earlier there were already reports about a 200 megapixel camera, which would be manufactured by Samsung. However, this lens would be reserved for the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. If the rumors are correct, the ’12’ will also have an LTPO AMOLED screen with a dynamic refresh rate of 1-120Hz. A Snapdragon 898 chipset is also mentioned as being present on the specification list.

For now it is not clear when the smartphone will be announced.
