New Windows 11 beta lets you use Android apps

With the launch of Windows 11, which started rolling out this month, there was no support for Android apps yet. That now changes with the latest beta of Windows 11 for the computer.

Windows 11 with Android apps

Microsoft started rolling out Windows 11 for computers in October. When Windows 11 was announced, it was announced that Android apps would be supported. However, that support is not yet available in the final version of Windows. Slowly but surely this is going to change, as becomes clear in the latest beta. The latest Insiders build of Windows 11 makes it possible to use Android apps on your computer.

The build will be available first in the United States. For the use of Android apps, Amazon is used, with which Microsoft collaborates for this. The functionality is not yet very extensive. At the time of writing there are only 50 apps that can be used.

So these are only for those who have access to the Windows Insider program to try. For example, they want to test and validate Android apps for Windows 11. Android apps that run in Windows 11 can also be placed in the start menu, the taskbar and can be switched to them with ALT+TAB. It is unknown when Microsoft will bring Android support to the final version of Windows 11.
