For this show, ten Dutch top comedians are locked up together in a room for six hours, where they try to make each other laugh. The presenters keep a close eye on the comedians via more than 50 cameras, because whoever laughs loses and has to leave the game. Whoever laughs last wins the competition with a grand prize of €50,000, which goes to a charity chosen by the winner. Besides Philippe Geubels, the 10 contending comedians are Henry van Loon, Tineke Schouten, Roué Verveer, Ruben van der Meer, Nienke Plas, Rayen Panday, Stefano Keizers, Alex Ploeg, Soundos El Ahmadi and Bas Hoeflaak. LOL: Last One Laughing is exclusive to Prime Video, introducing audiences in the Netherlands and worldwide, in more than 240 countries and territories, to some of the best Dutch comedic talent.

In the Netherlands, the series is broadcast on Comedy Central, which broadcast the first episode on December 1, 2008.
