New on Netflix, Videoland, Amazon Prime Video week 28

It doesn’t really go smoothly with that summer weather, luckily there are still plenty of opportunities to entertain you. In week 28 you can expect a lot of new titles on various video on demand services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Videoland.

Netflix

Heist – Season 1

Millions in stolen money. Luxury bourbon that’s gone. This new Netflix series about true crimes almost sees ordinary people getting away with extraordinary heists. The robberies in this series are retold by the robbers themselves and deal with the largest robberies in modern American history.

Season 1 of Heist can be seen on Netflix from Wednesday 14 July and has six episodes of approximately 40 minutes.

The Magnificent Seven

The village of Rose Creek is in the grip of a powerful industrialist, residents seek help from a striking company of bounty hunters, mercenaries and gamblers. But is it just about the money or is there more to it? Released in 2016, this film is a remake of the 1960 classic.

This 2-hour American western can be viewed on Netflix from Thursday 15 July.

Suits – Season 9

From Saturday 17 July you can enjoy the very last season of the successful law series Suits on Netflix. The final season follows the lawyer and his COO and their struggle to find the perfect balance between work and relationships. Together with colleagues in the company, they fight to maintain the reputation.

Video country

Sicario: Day of the Soldado

This film takes you to the US border with Mexico. The drug war there has completely escalated as cartels try to smuggle terrorists across the border. CIA agent Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) is tasked with secretly investigating the cartel, but things quickly spiral out of control when a high-ranking person’s daughter is kidnapped. Graver and his partner soon have to do things differently.

Each week, the winning looks will be on sale at Amazon Fashion’s Making the Cut store, and the last designer left will receive a million dollars to invest in their brand.

You can see Making the Cut season two starting Saturday, July 17 on Amazon Prime Video.

El Cid – Season 2

This Spanish series continues this summer with a new season in which the young page Ruy Díaz de Vivar fights to rise to the top. Thanks to his natural talent with a sword, he becomes entangled in a conspiracy to overthrow the king. Prepare yourself for a lot of bloodshed and spectacular scenes.

Season 2 of El Cid will be available on Amazon Prime Video from July 15. You still have time to binge season 1 too!
