For the higher segment, the new Louis Vuitton smartwatch knows how to position itself well.
Most smartwatches are like an extension of your smartphone. If you’re in a bad mood, do you want to wear an Apple Watch or Galaxy Watch on your wrist? Perhaps you prefer a traditional watch from, for example, Rolex or Patek Philippe. If you are a fan of tech, there is still a possibility. A smartwatch from the fashion brand Louis Vuitton, for example.
It is a smart watch, associated with the luxury brand and therefore very fashionable. The French company has been in the world of smartwatches for years, but is now making a breakthrough with the new Tambour Horizon Light It Up. It is the first smartwatch from Louis Vuitton that does not come with Google WearOS.
Louis Vuitton smart watch
The Tambour Horizon Light It Up is made of brushed steel and has a 1.2-inch large display. The strap is unmistakably Louis Vuitton. Thanks in part to the 24 built-in LEDs, the watch looks great on the wrist. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 platform processor.
Due to the lack of Google WearOS, the application of this smartwatch is somewhat different. For example, you don’t have the Play Store to choose apps from. Louis Vuitton has not yet announced the name of the software that runs this smartwatch.
The new Louis Vuitton Tambour Horizon Light It Up will be on the market in several versions. The watch is compatible with iOS as well as Android and prices start at around 3,000 euros.
