Fairphone 4 in the news

Thanks to new information from the German colleagues at Winfuture, we find out a lot more about the Fairphone 4 in one go. This new smartphone from the manufacturer will have excellent specifications and still have the environmentally conscious aspect. We see this in many recycled materials and because it is a modular device, broken parts can be replaced ourselves.

Unlike the previous models, the Fairphone 4 will be released with a metal frame, where previous models had one made of plastic. We also see a fingerprint scanner in the power button and of course there is support for the 5G network. Fairphone will provide the smartphone with a 6.3 inch LCD Full-HD screen. The ‘4’ will have a 48 megapixel camera with optical image stabilization. It is suspected that the second lens is a so-called macro or depth lens; and the third aperture would only be used for laser autofocus.

Furthermore, a Snapdragon 750G from Qualcomm, Android 11 and a removable battery is expected with the device. Reportedly, there would no longer be a 3.5 millimeter jack for a headset. The device is expected to be officially announced this week. The price would be 599 euros and there is a choice of the colors green and black, and 128 or 256GB memory.
