Netflix’s gaming offensive: Action-Kracher gets its own Steam game

Netflix continues to work diligently on its gaming offering. One of the streaming giant’s latest action films is slated for a video game version on Steam as early as October.

With Kate: Collateral Damage, Netflix is ​​expected to bring a video game adaptation of the action-packed assassin film Kate on October 22nd out on Steam. The game is produced by the Brazilian developer Ludic Studios and is supposed to function as a roguelike in chic pixel graphics.

The action film Kate was released on Netflix on September 10, 2021. In it Mary Elizabeth plays Winstead a contract killer who has been poisoned and only has 24 hours to live. She spends the rest of her time in Tokyo seeking revenge on her killer.

The fast-paced assassin thriller, in which Woody Harrelson is also involved, is now being converted into a roguelike game by Netflix: In a classic isometric perspective, gamers can steer Kate on her bloody vengeance campaign through a pixelated but stylish Tokyo. Streaming giant continues to work on gaming offensive

Netflix announced months ago that the company would like to break into the gaming market – for that the streaming provider uses games based on in-house productions.
