Netflix makes the move to games?
In addition to films, TV series and documentaries, Netflix is also known for the range of games? Who knows.
Netflix has been the streaming service of choice among the Dutch for years. The American streaming service has some competition in the form of Disney + and Videoland, for example, but no one blows Netflix away just like that. In addition, the service is considering extensions. Suddenly the combination of Netflix and games comes to the fore.
Sources told The Information that Netflix approached a gaming industry veteran to help the company expand into video games. The streaming service has now made itself heard. In a response, Netflix tells Polygon that it is indeed considering interactive entertainment. But the word games does not come immediately. In short, the streaming service is still a bit mysterious about it.
In the past, Netflix already had an interactive show called Bandersnatch and You v. Wild by Black Mirror. It is clear that the service wants to move in that direction due to the combination of Netflix and games. Experimenting with new ideas is also not that strange. After all, standing still is going backwards. With all those new streaming services you have to renew yourself as a company to stay relevant and new. That’s exactly what Netflix appears to be doing here. How and what exactly remains to be seen
