Netflix brings a new important update to Android. Will it please you too?

Netflix on Android brings a new update that will please every regular consumer. In addition to picture quality, this streaming platform has always relied on sound. Already in 2015, it introduced 5.1 surround sound, and two years later we also saw Dolby Atmos. Now comes support for Extended HE-AAC standards with MPEG-D DRC on all devices running Android 9 and later. What exactly does that mean?

Netflix on Android receives an update

Each content on Netflix has its own specific audio parameters. For example, an action film has a different scope than a music concert. Therefore, when you watch both genres and switch between them, the volume may drop and the sound experience may be incomplete. However, with this update, these issues are a thing of the past. The HE-AAC standard with MPEG-D DRC has three main audio aspects – Loudness, Dynamic Range and Peak Volume.
