The TV channel has now acquired exclusive rights Canal+, which is owned by the media group Vivendi. It will pay € 115 million a year for these broadcasting rights in France, the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. There will be a total of 380 matches over three seasons between 2022 and 2025.

In Slovakia at Skylink and FreeSat providers

The highest English football competition will thus be available in these regions only on Canal + channels, in the myCANAL mobile application and in the Canal + Premier League digital format. And what does this mean for Slovak football fans? Live broadcasts of the English highest competition will be available for them in the offer of Slovak providers Skylink and FreeSAT.

Interestingly, the French channel Canal + recently lost a competition with the Amazon Prime Video platform for most of the rights to the domestic French football league Ligue 1 for the next three-year cycle. Amazon has paid an astronomical sum of 275 million euros a year for the broadcasting of the highest French football league. The acquired rights are basically a patch for Canal + after this loss.
