NASA unveils AR comic about the Artemis lunar mission

We did not expect that. NASA has just unveiled a 40-page comic entitled “The First Woman: NASA’s Promise to Mankind”. In addition to the confirmation by the comic strip (comic strip, um…) that the Artemis mission will allow a woman astronaut to set foot on the lunar soil, this comic of a new kind can display interactive content and in AR thanks to the use of a smartphone. Certain boxes of the comic do indeed offer “hidden” content: all you have to do is point the smartphone sensor at the image for additional animations to appear, and in 3D too!

The comic tells the fabulous story of Callie Rodriguez, an African-American who will be the very first woman to set foot on the moon. The style of the comic as well as its sentimental storyline make it clear that the target audience is the new generation, those young teens who will be young adults (and perhaps astronaut postulants) when the Artemis Mission starts in 2025.
