There are a large number of apps in the Play Store that you can use to keep track of your finances. I’ve been using the Money Lover app for years, but I’ve never paid close attention to it on DroidApp. This application contains a large number of options and provides insight into your income and expenses in a pleasant way.

Money Lover

The Money Lover app lets you set up multiple wallets so that you can, for example, keep certain costs separate from a jar. You can also choose your own currency and, for example, I kept a wallet in SEK (Swedish Krona) from my holiday in Sweden some time ago. But you can also keep separate wallets in other currencies.

Conveniently, you can sync the wallets with other devices by logging in with your Google account. You can also access your finances via the web version. There is also a so-called Travel mode where you can keep track of expenses and income with the current exchange rates.

Wallet

In the overview of your wallet you can clearly see the income and expenses. You can also select for which period you want to see this; for example per week, month, quarter or a self-selected period. When adding incoming or outgoing amounts, you can add the category, amount, date and description. You can also indicate who you were with, the location and possibly add a photo.

Even more possibilities

Money Lover is full of possibilities. You can scan receipts, link your bank account in certain countries to the app via a secure connection, create savings projects and budgets and add accounts and invoices. In the application you can find, edit and create categories yourself with a corresponding icon. It is also possible to receive a notification so that you do not forget to put expenses in the app.

You can find more tools for the app in the ‘Tools’ section. For example, there are a number of add-ons that can be downloaded for, for example, calculating mortgages and loans, the exchanger, calculating the interest and a tool with which you can export accounts to Excel and CSV. If you add someone to a wallet, you can also easily keep track of expenses and income together with someone else.

The Money Lover app also includes a number of widgets. However, due to the limitations of Android, these will not work if you have installed the app on the memory card. The handy financial app can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store via the button below. An absolute must!
