Microsoft announces conference for Bing with ChatGPT
Microsoft will hold a conference tomorrow, February 7, where the group is expected to present its integration of ChatGPT into its Bing search engine. The event will take place at 7 p.m. (French time).
The invitation says Microsoft boss Satya Nadella “will share progress on some exciting projects”, which suggests a number of important announcements. The invitation comes just days after Microsoft extended its partnership with OpenAI in a $10 billion deal that will make it OpenAI’s exclusive cloud partner. Microsoft’s cloud services will power all OpenAI workloads, whether product, API, or research.
This announcement of a Microsoft conference comes just minutes after the presentation of Bard, the competitor of ChatGPT announced by Google. The announcement is anything but harmless, Microsoft wants to talk about him and thus “hide” the presentation of Google’s service.
On the other hand, users have briefly glimpsed the integration of ChatGPT in Bing. A new section with a chatbot has appeared to get answers from Microsoft’s search engine. Microsoft simply calls it “the new Bing” who will provide “full answers” to real questions.
It should also be noted that the Microsoft conference will take place 24 hours before that of Google scheduled for Paris. Suffice to say that the two groups will be at war this week for artificial intelligence.
